Welcome to KenMeet! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KenMeet video conferencing platform, including our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is provided by the operator of KenMeet ("we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
01 Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, joining or hosting a meeting, or otherwise using the KenMeet Service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies or guidelines we may post.
02 User Accounts
Account Creation: You may need to create an account to access certain features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.
Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or breach of security. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
03 Use of the Service
License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal purposes.
Acceptable Use: You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable national, regional, or international law or regulation.
- Exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm minors in any way.
- Transmit unsolicited advertising, "junk mail," "chain letters," "spam," or similar solicitation.
- Impersonate the operator of KenMeet, a KenMeet employee, another user, or any other person or entity.
- Engage in conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use of the Service, or that may harm KenMeet or its users.
Prohibited Activities: You agree not to:
- Disable, overburden, damage, or impair the Service or interfere with others' use of it.
- Use robots, spiders, or automated means to access the Service, including for monitoring or copying content.
- Attempt unauthorized access to, or disruption of, the Service or connected servers and databases.
- Launch denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attacks against the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Use the AI transcription or notetaker features for anything other than summarizing or transcribing meeting content for that meeting's participants — outputs may not be used for illegal, harmful, or discriminatory purposes.
04 User Content
"User Content" includes any data, audio, video, chat messages, screen shares, documents, recordings, transcriptions, AI notes, or other materials you upload, post, transmit, or display through the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, process, adapt, and display such content solely to provide, operate, and improve the Service for you and other meeting participants — including processing audio/video/chat to power transcription and notetaker features for your specific meeting.
You are solely responsible for your User Content, including its legality, accuracy, and appropriateness, and you represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it. We reserve the right to monitor and remove User Content that violates these Terms.
05 AI Transcription and Notetaker Features
The Service includes optional AI features that transcribe meeting audio and generate summary notes based on meeting content. By enabling these features, meeting audio, chat, and related content will be processed by our AI systems (which may involve third-party providers under strict confidentiality terms) solely to produce output for that specific meeting.
AI output may not be 100% accurate, complete, or reliable, and quality can vary based on audio quality, accents, background noise, and other factors. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing AI output, and should not rely on it alone for critical decisions or records. We are not liable for errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI output.
If you record or transcribe a meeting, or use the notetaker, it is your responsibility to ensure all participants are aware of and consent to this, in compliance with applicable recording and privacy laws.
06 Fees and Payment
- Access to certain features may require a paid subscription plan; details are available on our Pricing page.
- Selecting a plan means you agree to pay applicable fees, billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually).
- Payments are processed by a third-party processor (such as Stripe); we do not store your full card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the billing period.
- All fees paid are non-refundable.
- We reserve the right to change pricing upon reasonable notice.
07 Intellectual Property
The Service — including its code, design, user interface, trademarks ("KenMeet"), logos, and content (excluding User Content) — is owned by the operator of KenMeet or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer any part of our Service unless permitted by law or by our written consent.
08 Service Availability and Modifications
We strive to keep the Service operational but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, given the complexities of multi-region server deployments and the internet generally. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice, without liability to you or any third party.
09 Termination
You may stop using the Service and terminate your account at any time via account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without cause or notice, including for breach of these Terms. Sections relating to User Content, Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and General Provisions survive termination.
10 Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI transcriptions or notetaker output — you use these features at your own risk. While our multi-region architecture is designed for resilience, we do not warrant specific uptime or performance levels, which can be affected by global internet conditions and regional infrastructure issues.
11 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of KenMeet and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including AI transcriptions or notes.
12 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator of KenMeet and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service (including User Content and AI output from your meetings), or your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.
13 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Legal proceedings arising from these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in the USA, though we retain the right to bring suit against you in your country of residence or any other relevant country. You waive objections to jurisdiction and venue in such courts.
14 Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time at our discretion. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service after revised Terms are posted means you accept the changes.
15 General Provisions
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any incorporated policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and KenMeet regarding the Service.
Waiver and Severability: No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions remain in full force.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
Notices: We may provide notices through the Service, by email, or by mail.
